The bridge runs through a controller at N3PUU&#8217;s QTH \u2014 so your hotspot just needs to connect to the YSF side. No cross-mode setup required on your end. So if you have a TSF-compatible radio and a hotspot (we&#8217;ve used the WPDS hotspots and they work well) you can link that radio to the same talk group that&#8217;s used by the DMR radios and communicate worldwide. Here&#8217;s how to set it up. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>On your WPSD hotspot dashboard<\/strong> (<a href=\"http:\/\/wpsd.local\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">http:\/\/wpsd.local\/<\/a> or the IP):\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Log in.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Go to <strong>Configuration<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In <strong>Yaesu System Fusion Configuration<\/strong>:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Set <strong>YSF Startup Host<\/strong> to <strong>US-W2MMD_Sknkwks<\/strong> (or <strong>YSF13120<\/strong> \u2014 it may appear as &#8220;US-W2MMD_Sknkwks&#8221;, &#8220;W2MMD GCARC&#8221;, or similar).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Make sure <strong>FCS Network<\/strong> is toggled <strong>ON<\/strong> (helps compatibility even for direct YSF rooms).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click <strong>Apply Changes<\/strong> \u2192 wait for the hotspot to restart and connect.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Your hotspot should now show connected to room 13120 in the dashboard&#8217;s YSF status.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>On your Yaesu Fusion radio<\/strong>:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Switch to <strong>Digital \/ C4FM<\/strong> mode (not analog FM).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Press the <strong>X<\/strong> (Wires-X) button or go to the Wires-X \/ Room menu.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select <strong>Search &amp; Direct<\/strong> or <strong>Room \/ Direct Entry<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enter <strong>13120<\/strong> (or select <strong>US-W2MMD_Sknkwks<\/strong> from the list if it&#8217;s populated).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Connect \u2014 the display should confirm &#8220;Connected&#8221; to 13120 or the room name.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Test the link<\/strong>:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Key up with something like: &#8220;[Your callsign] testing YSF 13120 to AmComm TG 8031341 via GCARC bridge.&#8221;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Your transmission goes: YSF radio \u2192 hotspot \u2192 YSF network \u2192 room 13120 \u2192 N3PUU bridge \u2192 AmComm TG 8031341.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>DMR users on TG 8031341 will hear you (including locals on our <strong>KB2LNB repeater<\/strong> at 440.10625 MHz, where TG 8031341 is mapped to <strong>Talkgroup 2 on Timeslot 2 (TS2)<\/strong>).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You&#8217;ll hear replies from the DMR side through the same bridge.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">For DMR Radio Users (AnyTone D878\/578, OpenGD77, etc.)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Program a channel for <strong>TG 8031341<\/strong> (standard on hotspots or networked access).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>For direct access to the <strong>KB2LNB repeater<\/strong> (440.10625 MHz +5 offset, Color Code usually 1):\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Set <strong>Timeslot: TS2<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Set <strong>Talkgroup: 2<\/strong> (this routes to AmComm TG 8031341 locally on the repeater).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>No extra bridge config needed \u2014 just select the TG or repeater channel and transmit.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Quick Path Summary<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>YSF side: Your radio\/hotspot \u2192 YSF Room 13120 (US-W2MMD_Sknkwks) \u2192 bridged at N3PUU \u2192 AmComm TG 8031341.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>DMR repeater side: KB2LNB shows TG 8031341 as <strong>TG 2 on TS2<\/strong> (only two slots exist in DMR Tier II: TS1 and TS2).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>This keeps everything simple and accessible \u2014 whether you&#8217;re on a hotspot anywhere, the repeater in the coverage area, or roaming with your handheld.
